Community Support Groups

Healing Happens in Community

Healing doesn’t have to happen alone.

The Planted Brain partners with community organizations to create trauma-informed support groups that bring people together around shared experiences such as grief, disaster recovery, major life transitions, and emotional wellness.

Grounded in clinical expertise and enriched through nature-based practices, our groups offer participants a safe, supportive space to build resilience, foster connection, and move toward healing—together.

What Makes Our Groups Different?

Our support groups are intentionally designed to create trust, consistency, and meaningful connection.

Each group is:

  • Facilitated by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Trauma-informed and culturally responsive
  • Closed to encourage safety and relationship building
  • Structured around shared experiences and peer connection
  • Enhanced with nature-based and therapeutic horticulture activities when appropriate

Participants don’t need prior mental health experience or gardening knowledge—only a willingness to show up as they are.

Designed for Communities We Serve

We partner with organizations serving individuals who are ready for deeper, ongoing connection around a shared experience — people:

  • Navigating grief and loss together, over time
  • Recovering from disasters or community trauma as part of an ongoing group
  • Moving through a major life transition
  • Living with anxiety, depression, or trauma histories
  • Seeking sustained peer support and community, not just a single session

Every group is tailored to the unique needs of the community it serves.
